Wow! Today is post number 100! What a milestone. To celebrate, I want to share this video of an RCA Hide-Away TV from 1959. I think this would look great sitting in the living room of the shack!
Has anybody ever come across one of these? I had never dreamed something like this existed until I found the video on YouTube. Have a terrific Tuesday!
Congratulations, Michael. You are doing a great job with the blog, it's one of my very favorites because you are so good at uncovering new things. Like the RCA hideaway TV!
That is fantastic. I see lots of items like this all around....especially in Los Angeles. I've never seen this one exactly in the street, but I saw a similar item in blond wood sitting in the street in New York with a sign on it that said "Take me, I work!" That was several years ago, and it was 2 in the morning and I lived in a walk-up apartment at the time. I tried to budge it myself, but it was so dang heavy I had to leave it there. Happily, it was gone when I went to inspect the next day. I took that to mean that someone else nabbed it! Stan

ReplyDeleteI love the TV and that lady just looks SO proud of herself for getting it out so gracefully. Pam's right--you do find the most interesting things!
