Identification, Please?

A lady at my church knows how much I love vintage goodies.  We are usually at the same estate auctions, and spend a lot of time chatting with each other while waiting for the items we want to be sold.  Recently she told me she had a set of glasses she wanted to give me, so I went by and picked them up.  What she gave me are these six gold leaf beauties.

The design on them is attractive, and in great condition overall.  The only problem is, I don't know who made them or what the pattern name is, if it has one.  I know there are some collectors of glassware that follow my blog, so today I'm asking you to take a look at these and see if you can tell me anything about them.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. I don't know the maker or pattern but I LOVE the design!

  2. That shape, tapered glasses with weighted bases, are called just bar glasses, and lots of companies made them, Libby and Anchor Hocking to name two. Not much help, I know. I like them because they are stable and don't tip easily.

  3. Do the glasses have a stylized letter imprinted on the bottom? Libby usually has a cursive capital "L" and, in Canada, Dominion with its cursive "D" are fairly common. That would be my starting point in trying to identify the glasses. Great design on your new vintage glasses.

  4. No, there is no marking at all on the bottom of them. I have some Libbey glasses with the cursive L on the bottom, but these have nothing to indicate who made them.

  5. They remind me of some West Virginia glass items I had years agao.
