Movie Friday: The Godfather

Yesterday's well publicized round-up of mob members brought today's movie to mind.

This 1972 film follows the Corleone family beginning in 1945.  The film stars Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, and Diane Keaton.  I highly recommend you watch it, or you may find yourself facing an offer you can't refuse!

If you want to read all of the specifics on the film, you can find them here.

Have a great Friday!  It's gonna be another hectic one for me, as we had a snow day yesterday.  Going back on a Friday after a snow day is always fun!

  2. Gah. I still have not seen this movie. And I just looove gangster movies. I'll catch bits and pieces when it comes on TV but I've never sat through the whole original thing. Thanks for reminding me about it, maybe Sunday I'll Netflix it :)

  3. It was The Godfather Part II that ignited my love of vintage rattan furniture in 1975. All those gorgeous barkcloth-covered Paul Frankl chairs in Cuba and Florida!

And Dean Tavoularis, the production designer on the trilogy, did a spectacular job with the high-end 50's modern furniture in the Corleone's Lake Tahoe house. Everything about those movies is a feast for the eyes.
